Support for family carers

Everyone deserves unhurried, respectful help with the everyday things that keep life feeling like life. Our personal care service brings gentle, reliable support into the home—protecting dignity, comfort, and independence while honouring routines, culture, and personal preferences.

  • Practical coaching on safe techniques and routine planning
  • Flexible respite so you can rest, attend appointments, or take time out
  • Clear updates so you feel informed and at ease

What we do (practical, kind, and tailored)

  • Morning & evening routines
Unhurried support to get up or settle: washing, fresh clothes, skincare, hair care, shaving, makeup, and a calm wind-down at night.
  • Bathing & showering
Safe assistance with showers, strip washes, or baths, including transfers, temperature checks, modesty and privacy at every step.
  • Dressing & appearance
Comfortable clothing choices, fastenings and footwear, compression stockings if prescribed, jewellery and personal style—because feeling “yourself” matters.
  • Toileting & continence care
Respectful help with the toilet, commodes, urinals, pads, cleaning and freshening. Catheter or stoma support where our staff are trained and your plan allows.
  • Oral care & grooming
Teeth and denture care, beard/moustache grooming, nail care (non-clinical), moisturising and pressure-area checks with gentle prompts to shift position.
  • Mobility & transfers
Steady, confidence-building assistance with walking aids, safe moving and handling, hoists and slings (when assessed), bed/chair positioning and falls-prevention awareness.
  • Medication support
Timely prompts or administration (as agreed), MAR charts and recording, noticing side effects and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Meals, hydration & nutrition
Light meal prep or full cooking, IDDSI textures where needed, assistance with eating, and regular drinks—familiar favourites encouraged.
  • Laundry, linen & tidy spaces
Fresh bedding, a tidy bathroom, light housekeeping that keeps home comfortable and reduces fall risks.
  • Companionship & wellbeing
Conversation, music, puzzles, gentle walks, and community outings that make the day feel connected and meaningful.
  • Cultural, faith & identity needs
Language preferences, modesty, prayer times, dietary requirements, and carer gender matching where possible.
  • Boundaries & safety Any advanced or clinical tasks (e.g., wound care) are delivered only where our team is trained, competency-signed, and your care plan includes them. We’ll coordinate with nurses or therapists when needed.
