Degenerative conditions
Providing Exceptional Care

Who we support

When a condition is progressive, steadiness matters. Our calm and outstanding clinically confident support helps people live well at home with dignity—protecting comfort, independence, and choice as needs change over time. We work alongside you and your clinical team to keep life familiar, meaningful, and safe.

  • Parkinson’s and atypical parkinsonism (MSA, PSP)
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Motor Neurone Disease / ALS
  • Huntington’s disease

  • Cerebellar ataxias and other progressive neurological conditions

What we do (practical, respectful, person-centred)

  • Personal care with dignity
Unhurried help with washing, dressing, continence, oral care, skincare and safe mobility—always protecting privacy and choice.
  • Medication & symptom support
Timely prompts or administration (as agreed), MAR charts, and careful observation of effectiveness/side-effects—coordinated with neurology, GP and community teams.
  • Mobility, transfers & falls awareness
Confident use of aids, hoists/slings, slide boards; pacing strategies; home safety checks; pressure-relief routines and posture support.
  • Fatigue, rigidity, spasticity & pain
Energy conservation plans, gentle stretches, heat/cold as advised, positioning for comfort, and swift escalation if patterns change.
  • Speech, communication & cognition
Clear, patient conversation, cueing, visual supports, writing/tech aids, AAC where advised by SLT; memory and planning tools that reduce stress.
  • Eating, drinking & swallow care
Calm mealtimes, texture modification (IDDSI) as required, PEG/NG feed support (competency-assured), hydration prompts, and monitoring for weight or swallow changes.
  • Breathing & airway comfort
Positioning, assisted cough and chest physio carry-over, nebulisers/oxygen per plan, tracheostomy/ventilation support where assessed and signed off.
  • Bladder & bowel routines
Respectful continence support, catheter/stoma care where trained and agreed, scheduled bowel care to maintain comfort and dignity.
  • Meaningful days
Routines that include hobbies, music, nature, gentle exercise, appointments and community life—so each day still feels like “your day.”
  • Household help that actually helps
Meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping and errands to keep home comfortable and reduce effort and falls risk.
  • Family support & real respite
Practical coaching, clear updates, and flexible break cover—so loved ones can rest without worry.

Clinical note: Advanced tasks (e.g., PEG management, tracheostomy care, rescue meds, complex wound/pressure care) are delivered only where assessed, included in the care plan, and our staff are competency-signed. We coordinate closely with your clinicians and care teams.
