What we do (clear, practical support)

  • Personal care with dignity
Respectful help with washing, dressing, continence, oral care, grooming, skin care, and safe mobility—always at the person’s pace and preference.
  • Bowel care programme
Timed routines, digital stimulation, suppositories/enemas as per plan, privacy and positioning, hydration and fibre prompts—unhurried and respectful.
  • Skin integrity & pressure care
Turning and pressure-relief schedules, seating checks, daily skin inspections, wound care and pressure-area management; liaison on cushions, mattresses and overlays.
  • Mobility, transfers & positioning
Safe use of hoists and slings, slide-board transfers, profiling beds, posture support, and gentle range-of-movement exercises as advised by therapists.
  • Spasticity, pain & tone
Passive stretches, splint checks, heat/cold and relaxation techniques, prompt escalation if pain or tone patterns change.
  • Respiratory support (where assessed and competency-signed)
Assisted cough techniques, nebulisers, and ventilator/tracheostomy support; monitoring for secretions and breathlessness.
  • Autonomic dysreflexia (AD) awareness
Prevention, early recognition, and a clear red-flag plan (triggers, first steps, when to call 999); AD kit kept visible and ready where prescribed.
  • Therapy carry-over
We follow physio/OT programmes, seating and posture guidance, and help with home adaptations and equipment set-up.
  • Meaningful, independent living
Support to study, work, see friends, attend appointments, pursue sport and hobbies; confidence with public transport or vehicle transfers.
  • Emotional wellbeing & family support
Calm companionship, goal-setting, peer/community signposting, practical coaching for family members, and flexible respite so everyone can rest.
  • Help around the home
