Catastrophic Care
Providing Exceptional Care

Who we support

After a life-changing injury, home can be the most reassuring place to begin again. Our leading healthcare catastrophic care brings calm, clinically confident support into everyday life—so safety, dignity, and independence stay at the centre while we rebuild routines and confidence together.

  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI) and acquired brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury (all levels)
  • Complex polytrauma and orthopaedic injuries
  • Amputations and complex wound/burn recovery
  • Prolonged ICU stays, tracheostomy and ventilator weaning
  • Neurological conditions with high support needs
  • Behavioural, cognitive, or communication changes after injury

What we do (specialist, practical, human)

  • Personal care with dignity
Unhurried help with washing, dressing, continence, grooming, and safe mobility—always led by the person’s preferences.
  • Respiratory & airway care (nurse-led, competency-assured)
Tracheostomy care, suctioning, humidification, ventilator support/weaning, cough-assist and nebulisers; close monitoring and clear escalation plans.
  • Nutrition & medication
Oral/texture-modified meals, PEG/NG feeding, hydration, MAR charts, time-critical meds, and observation of effects/side-effects with swift escalation.
  • Bladder & bowel management
Intermittent catheterisation or catheter care, stoma/urostomy support, scheduled bowel programmes—private, respectful, and consistent.
  • Skin integrity & wound care
Turning schedules, pressure-relief, seating checks, daily skin inspections, and coordinated wound/pressure-area management.
  • Mobility, transfers & positioning
Safe use of hoists/slings, slide-board transfers, posture support, orthoses/splints, and therapy-led range-of-movement routines.
  • Seizure and crisis plans
Individual protocols (triggers, first actions, rescue meds where prescribed) and confident response with clear documentation.
  • Behaviour & cognition support
Gentle structure to the day, positive behaviour support plans, memory/attention strategies, and fatigue management.
  • Communication & independence
Support with AAC/assistive tech, goal-setting for study/work/driving alternatives, and community access (appointments, social life, hobbies, sport).
  • Family support & respite
Practical coaching, emotional reassurance, flexible breaks, and regular updates—so family carers can rest and feel informed.
  • Household help that actually helps
Meal prep, hydration prompts, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping and safe home set-up.

Clinical governance: All advanced tasks are assessed by our Clinical Director with our nursing teams with formal competencies, clear care plans, and robust escalation pathways.

Multidisciplinary rehabilitation, at home

We collaborate with ICB’s, case managers, physiotherapists, OTs, speech & language therapists, neuropsychologists, tissue-viability nurses and pain teams—embedding programmes into everyday routines so progress is steady and sustainable.
